Peter Ebdon v Graeme Dott is a fixture that echoes their World Snooker Championship final match in 2006 which Graeme Dott went on to win 18-14. Poor form continued to trouble Ebdon in 2008 with a particular low point coming in the Northern Ireland trophy when he uncharacteristically poor performance and suspicious gambling patterns led to an investigation by the Gambling Commission. In 2009 and 2010 Peter Ebdon has continued to improve and he climbed back to 14th in the ranking, largely due to his 2009 China Open win.

Both Peter Ebdon and Graeme Dott are very experienced players, who have had dips in form but have the ability to play snooker like World Champion’s. Ebdon having won the World Snooker Championship in 2002 and Dott four years later in 2006.
